Black Label Society

BLS was phenomenal. Zakk is an absolute legend on the guitar. First time seeing him with BLS and I wasn’t disappointed. The Society was out in full force with BLS vests and shirts everywhere. These fans are super die hard and loyal to the BLS. Great performance. As far as the festival itself, and I’m sure Zakk probably doesn’t have full control of, but there are some improvements to be made. Cell service was essentially nonexistent. Communication to the outside world was impossible. Fortunately it wasn’t needed. Concessions were not prepared. It was 80-85 degrees out and yet the beverages were warm. Ice them down. Secondly, security and general staffing was poor. People were not checked for their seats in the main amphitheater. People could go wherever they wanted which then caused people to not have the seats they paid for. Aisles were not maintained with people swarming and filling the aisle-ways. Not much point in paying extra for an aisle seat when the aisle disappears. When I pay for seat I expect to have it and not have to fight for it. If I wanted to fight for my space, I would buy pit tickets where it’s expected to have to claim your space and hold onto it. Beef up the staffing and verify people are where they belong. But overall the festival was great. I’m glad I travelled the four hours to go. It was worth it.
