PLAGUE YEARS is a band every devotee of thrash, crossover, and death metal should know. Citing the group's Kreator, Sodom, and Slayer vibe with "a touch of evil," tastemaker metal magazine Revolver gushed that PLAGUE YEARS is "genuinely mean." In nuclear-sized fusion with thrash throwbacks like Dark Angel, the unrelentingly crushing quartet pays homage to hardcore-punk Michigan forebearers' Negative Approach in attitude and gritty local gangster rappers in spirit.
Lauder tracked guitars, bass, and vocals for All Will Suffer. Shaun O'Shaughnessy (Sanguisugabogg) engineered the drums, with mixing duties handled by Roger Camero (Night Demon, Grave Maker, The Warriors) and mastering by Erol Ulug (Sleeping Giant, Teeth, The Great Commission). The EP boasts the same ripping intensity familiar to Plague Years fans lucky enough to have seen them on tour, alongside bands including The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletal Remains, Exhorder, and Somnuri.
An unrelenting end of the world assault born of the cataclysmic convergence of thrash and reverb-soaked hardcore fury, with blackened death and madness to spare, the Detroit master blasters gleefully crash the crossover party. Summoning the primitive spirit of the singular moment when the heaviest of metal first smashed into a circle pit, PLAGUE YEARS reignited the flame with brutal fury.

Some bands just do thrash right, and when they do, I buy. Leaning towards death in the vocals, but by no means of cookie monster brand. Everything is just right here.
Update- after a couple weeks of constant spins, I have to say this is possibly the best modern thrash I’ve heard in a long time. The drumming is off the chain, and the riffs and changeups are evidence of genius level songwriting. I gotta dig deeper into the band members. Lute FP

Fantastic thrash in the vein of early Slayer, with unhinged and excellent vocals bellowed to the backdrop of top notch riffs and shredding guitar solos. Killer songwriting and super tight musicianship set this apart from the pack. These guys know how to get your neck snapping and are by no means just another retro band. Lute FP
